Corda Foundation Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Corda Foundation SEZC (“we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit or interact with corda.xyz (the “Website”). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.
This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Notice which can be found here: https://corda.xyz/privacy, which explains more generally how we use personal data. Where a defined term is used in this Cookie Policy but not defined here, it has the meaning given to it in our Privacy Notice.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of a site.
Cookies set by the website operator are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website operator are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (for example, analytics or advertising). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognise your device both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
We also use similar technologies, such as local storage, which allow information to be stored in your browser in a similar way to cookies. Where this Cookie Policy refers to “cookies”, this includes such similar technologies unless we say otherwise.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies for the following broad purposes:
- Strictly necessary cookies – required for the Website to function and for its core security features to operate.
- Analytical or performance cookies – used to understand how visitors use the Website so that we can measure and improve its performance.
- Functionality cookies – used to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, personalised features.
- Advertisement cookies – used to make advertising more relevant to you and your interests.
We do not currently use cookies to create profiles for behavioural advertising purposes.
3. Cookies used on this Website
The tables below set out the specific cookies currently used on the Website, organised by category. We will update these tables from time to time as the cookies we use change.
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential to enable you to move around the Website and use its features, such as remembering your cookie consent choices and protecting the Website from malicious or automated traffic. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they cannot be switched off through our cookie consent tool. You can block or delete them using your browser settings, but if you do so, parts of the Website may not function correctly.

3.2 Analytical or performance cookies
These cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors to the Website and to see how visitors move around it when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way the Website works – for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. These cookies are only set with your consent.

None currently in use.
3.4 Advertisement cookies
These cookies record your visit to the Website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We would use this information to make the Website and any advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests.
None currently in use.
4. Similar technologies (browser local storage)
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage as set out below. Local storage operates in a similar way to cookies but is not automatically sent to a server with each request and does not expire after a set period – it remains until it is cleared by the Website visitor or overwritten by the relevant service.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| cisession_dd, cisession_previous | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys | Session identifiers used to group page views into a single visit for analytics and marketing measurement. | Until cleared by the visitor (local storage does not auto-expire) | First party storage (third-party service) |
5. Third party cookies
Some cookies on the Website are placed by third parties, such as Cloudflare, Google Analytics and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights. These third parties may also use cookies, over which we have no direct control, in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies. We recommend that you review the relevant third party's policy for further information, including on how to opt out where applicable.
6. How to manage your cookie preferences
Consent tool. When you first visit the Website, you will be shown a cookie banner (powered by Finsweet) that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies by category. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of the Website.
Browser controls. Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings.
